English Department:
The English department is a successful and well-established team delivering an ambitious and engaging curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5. As Head of English, you will lead curriculum design, assessment strategy, and departmental development, ensuring consistently high-quality teaching and learning. You will also play a key role in mentoring staff and contributing to whole-school literacy initiatives and enrichment activities.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related subject
• Significant experience teaching English at secondary level
• Leadership experience or strong potential for middle leadership
• Excellent subject knowledge across Language and Literature
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education
