The Opportunity & Role Profile
A fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual to support the Drama and Music departments at a highly creative independent school. The Performing Arts Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of all theatrical lighting, sound, staging, and musical equipment for curriculum use and school productions.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
- Technical Lead: Designing, setting up, and operating lighting and sound equipment for lessons, rehearsals, and major school performances.
- Resource Manager: Maintaining inventory, ensuring the safe storage and upkeep of stage equipment, musical instruments, and technology.
- Creative Support: Assisting teaching staff and students with technical elements of projects and productions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Essential Requirements: Proven technical skills in sound/lighting operation and maintenance, knowledge of theatrical rigging, and experience in a performance venue or educational setting.
- Salary Range: Highly competitive salary paid on the school's support staff scale (expected to be £34,000 - £40,000 per annum), reflecting Inner London weighting.
