Data Officer - Outstanding School - Woolwich

About the Role
As Data Officer, you will manage and maintain the school’s data systems, supporting staff with accurate information and ensuring the smooth operation of reporting processes. You will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and administrative staff to ensure data is recorded, analysed, and presented effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the school’s Management Information System (MIS) and ensuring data accuracy
Producing reports on pupil progress, attendance, and assessment outcomes
Supporting staff with data input, analysis, and interpretation
Coordinating assessment data collections and reporting cycles
Assisting senior leadership with performance tracking and analysis
Ensuring compliance with data protection and GDPR regulations
Maintaining secure records of pupil data and school performance metrics
Supporting the development and improvement of data systems and processes
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience in a data, administration, or information management role
Demonstrate excellent organisational and analytical skills
Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets accurately
Be confident using databases, spreadsheets, and school management systems
Communicate clearly and effectively with both teaching and administrative staff
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Experience working within a school environment and familiarity with MIS platforms such as SIMS or Arbor would be advantageous but is not essential.
