Job Context:
- The post holder reports to a Senior Engineer
- The post holder has no direct line management responsibility but will be expected to lead and coordinate projects as required and on occasion deputise for a Senior Engineer as necessary.
- The post holder will occasionally be required to work outside ‘normal’ office hours, and as required by the line manager to 36 hours per week which may include monitoring works and Council and community meetings.
- The post holder has a responsibility to contribute towards a variety of projects. They will assist in the execution of commissioned work including the preparation of certificates, account payments, final accounts, final costs statements and accounts for services.
Experience
⦁ Experience leading and coordinating projects.
⦁ Experience of successfully assisting with budgets.
⦁ Able to demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with a successful outcome.
⦁ Proven experience of working with staff at all levels of the organisation and developing effective relationships with relevant people, groups, departments and companies.
⦁ Experience of assisting other staff for improved and sustained delivery.
⦁ Experience of engineering in a highways, traffic and parking service.
Qualifications
To have a recognised professional qualification in engineering or acceptable proven
technical ability.
To have experience in the public or private sector to successfully operate at engineering
level.
