The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on site near London 5 days a week. Candidate profile: In this role, you will design, build and support secure infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring systems meet stringent performance, security and availability requirements. You will take ownership of infrastructure components across compute, storage and networking, contributing to both project delivery and ongoing operational support within highly secure environments. Working collaboratively with internal teams and partners, you will help deliver robust and scalable solutions, applying innovative approaches to infrastructure engineering while benefiting from structured support and opportunities to grow your expertise in evolving technologies.

  • Design & Deliver secure infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments
  • Deploy & Configure compute, storage and networking solutions to meet client needs
  • Integrate & Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Monitor & Optimise system performance, availability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot & Resolve infrastructure issues in complex environments
  • Collaborate & Deliver with internal teams and external partners
  • Report & Communicate system status, risks and technical updates to stakeholders
Required qualifications to be successful in this role You should have a solid foundation in infrastructure engineering, with experience across enterprise environments and the ability to support both build and operational activities. A strong understanding of cloud or virtualised platforms is important, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • You should have experience in infrastructure engineering across compute, storage and networking
  • Strong proficiency in systems administration within enterprise environments
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience working in cloud or virtualised environments
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution
  • Exposure to container technologies, automation or scripting (desirable)
  • Understanding of secure environments and compliance requirements (advantageous)
