Nanny

We are looking for a live out driving nanny to take sole charge of 2 children; B11 and G9 with more hours needed in the school holidays. Term time the hours needed are 1.45pm -7.15pm (Monday - Thursday) and 1.30pm - 7pm on Fridays. In school holidays the nanny can decide whether they want to continue with these hours (27.5 hours) OR have more full time hours and work on a bended average of 34 hours to increase the salary.

The suitable candidate will should have previous experience working with primary school age children, someone who has a genuine interest in their development who can help them reach their full potential in a fun and engaging way.

While children are school, the nanny will have some time to cook healthy meals, carry out primarily child related housekeeping duties (children’s laundry, tidying their bedrooms) unpacking grocery deliveries and running errands.

The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who is organised and help with forward planning, packing school bags, sports kits and has excellent time keeping.

It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm and positive attitude. The children are very well behaved and enjoy sports, arts and crafts and reading. The nanny should continue to encourage the children’s love of learning and help with supervising homework and music practice.
The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• School runs (East Finchley to Belsize Park)
• Preparing children’s meals and cleaning up afterwards
• Helping and encouraging homework
• Playing with children, carrying out arts and crafts
• Taking children to parks, playgrounds, museums and galleries
• Encouraging learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and organised and toys have been put away
• Housekeeping duties which be primarily child-related such as children’s linen, laundry, bedrooms as well as keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
• Ad hoc errands for the broader household (dishwasher, post office, shops, etc)
• Occasional babysitting (eg once per fortnight in lieu of time off or paid as over time)
