From the Members’ Clubhouse to food stands and lounges, our team of 2,200 catering staff and 355 chefs craft unforgettable culinary moments at 51 kitchens and 27 restaurants across the grounds. Purpose of Purchasing Coordinator: As Purchasing Coordinator , you will play a critical role in the planning and delivery of the Wimbledon Championships, supporting the All England Lawn Tennis Club in delivering a world-class hospitality experience. You will oversee the efficient, timely and cost-effective purchasing of all culinary items, working closely with culinary, logistics and finance teams to ensure products are sourced to the highest standards. Your work will directly underpin kitchen production, food quality and consistency, and ultimately the exceptional experience delivered to guests, players and members throughout the Championships and the wider event calendar. Key Responsibilities of Purchasing Coordinator:- Coordinate food planning, forecasting and ordering for the Wimbledon Championships, including the creation and management of Championship order sheets.
- Manage supplier relationships across all food categories, working closely with the wider purchasing team to place, amend and optimise orders before and during the tournament.
- Lead food planning and ordering for satellite venues at Roehampton and Raynes Park, ensuring seamless delivery throughout the Championships period.
- Support the delivery of a robust logistics operation, maintaining accurate delivery schedules and proactively communicating stock issues or delays to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with culinary teams to understand requirements, support menu development and ensure products are correctly listed within Foodbuy with accurate financial data.
- Monitor food spend and menu costings, ensuring alignment with agreed budgets and constructively challenging costs where required.
- Champion a people-first culture, working collaboratively across purchasing, culinary and operational teams.
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, allergen management, health & safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all systems, storage and processes meet audit and regulatory requirements.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the confidence to work independently, using initiative to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about food, with strong product knowledge and an up-to-date understanding of current culinary and hospitality trends.
- Commercially minded and inquisitive, able to make balanced business decisions and challenge costs, processes and ways of working where needed.
- A proactive, positive team player who builds strong relationships quickly and can influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Process-driven, with the ability to improve systems and support large-scale food operations while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Experienced in large-scale or event-led food procurement, ideally within complex, multi-outlet environments.
- A natural communicator with strong IT skills, including Excel, and the confidence to operate across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
