English Teacher – Lead KS3 Literacy Development and Drive Core Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar Acquisition – Redbridge

A supportive and academically ambitious secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an experienced and inspiring Teacher of English with a focus on driving core literacy, including Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar (SPaG), at Key Stage 3 from January 2026.

• English Teacher required from January 2026.

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5, with a leadership focus on KS3 literacy. The role includes planning rigorous lessons that systematically develop essential reading and writing skills, with a focus on narrowing the attainment gap through precise skills instruction.

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in English or Literature.
• Experience in a successful secondary school setting is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable success in teaching foundational literacy and grammar.
• Commitment to contributing to the school's academic reading programme.
