Mornings: the KS1 Teacher leads systematic phonics sessions, short guided reading groups and focused writing instruction as the KS1 Teacher. Afternoons (on working days): the KS1 Teacher designs purposeful adult-led activities, oversees continuous provision and delivers small-group mathematics boosters as the KS1 Teacher. The KS1 Teacher uses formative assessment to plan next steps, communicates progress to families and contributes to the phase’s moderation process. The KS1 Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the KS1 Teacher.
Development and inclusion for the KS1 Teacher
This Lambeth school invests in staff coaching and inclusive practice. The KS1 Teacher will benefit from mentoring, peer observations and bespoke CPD to refine pedagogy. The KS1 Teacher will be encouraged to trial evidence-based approaches, lead a small area of practice and take part in leadership training available after January 2026. We value reflective practice and collaborative problem solving - every KS1 Teacher receives support to improve outcomes for children.
