We’re working with an established independent secondary school in Camden that is looking to appoint a Psychology Teacher from October Half Term 2026. The school has a strong academic focus and is looking for someone who can engage students with the subject while helping them develop the knowledge and exam skills needed to succeed.

This would suit an experienced Psychology Teacher who enjoys teaching ambitious students and wants to work in a well-supported academic environment.

A Role Focused on Academic Success

You’ll be teaching Psychology across the secondary age range, helping students build a strong understanding of key theories, research methods and contemporary psychological issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Psychology across the relevant Key Stages

  • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons

  • Preparing students for examinations where required

  • Developing students' knowledge of psychological theories and research

  • Helping students strengthen their analytical and evaluative skills

  • Teaching research methods and examination technique

  • Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting students with revision and examination preparation

  • Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the subject

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have strong Psychology subject knowledge and the confidence to teach the subject effectively across the relevant Key Stages.

You’ll be someone who can make complex ideas accessible, encourage thoughtful discussion and help students develop their confidence and understanding.

Previous secondary Psychology teaching experience would be highly desirable. The school is particularly interested in teachers who are passionate about their subject and take pride in helping students achieve their potential.
