Construction Associate
This leading London firm is known for its strength in real estate, development, and regeneration — advising top-tier developers, funders, and investors on projects that reshape the capital’s landscape. The construction team forms an integral part of this offering, providing non-contentious construction expertise across some of the UK’s most high-profile housing, build-to-rent, and mixed-use schemes.
You’ll work alongside specialists in development, planning, and finance, giving you exposure to every stage of a project — from procurement strategy to completion. The work is intellectually engaging, commercially complex, and offers a visible role in projects you’ll actually see take shape.
What You’ll Do
- Advise on all aspects of non-contentious construction — drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC, and bespoke contracts.
- Support on major development and regeneration projects, advising developers, funders, and institutional clients.
- Coordinate with real-estate, planning, and corporate teams to deliver fully integrated advice.
- Provide guidance on procurement models, risk allocation, and project delivery frameworks.
- Contribute to client relationship management and business development within a growing, highly regarded construction practice.
What You’ll Need
- 2–6 years PQE (flexible) in non-contentious construction, ideally from a respected real-estate or construction team.
- Experience in development-driven work — housing, regeneration, mixed-use or infrastructure projects.
- A sound understanding of standard forms (JCT/NEC) and bespoke drafting.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging directly with clients.
- A team-orientated approach and genuine interest in construction and the built environment.
What Makes This Role Stand Out
- A chance to join a firm where construction isn’t an add-on — it’s a core part of the real-estate strategy.
- Work on London’s most exciting regeneration projects, advising high-profile developers and investors.
- Partner-led, collaborative culture that encourages ownership and visible contribution from associates.
- Supportive environment with real progression, exposure to clients, and the opportunity to build a name within the construction sector.
- Competitive salary and benefits, flexible working arrangements, and a commitment to work-life balance.
This is ideal for a solicitor who enjoys the commercial and strategic side of construction law — someone who wants to see their work turn into tangible projects across London. You’ll be part of a close-knit, respected team with access to high-value, high-impact matters — and the headroom to develop your career in a team that’s genuinely growing.
