The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking a polished, professional, and welcoming School Receptionist for an immediate start at a thriving school in Hounslow . As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and pupils, you will play a vital role in shaping the school's reputation and ensuring the front office runs like clockwork.
The Role
This is a fast-paced and varied position that requires a calm head and a friendly smile. You will manage the busy reception desk, handle diverse enquiries, and provide essential administrative support to the wider school office.
Key Responsibilities:
Front-of-House: Welcoming all visitors, ensuring they are signed in according to safeguarding protocols, and issuing visitor passes.
Communication: Managing a busy switchboard, directing calls efficiently, and handling the school’s general email correspondence.
Pupil Services: Assisting students with general enquiries, managing late arrivals, and coordinating with the medical room when necessary.
Administrative Support: Assisting with school mailings, data entry on the student database, and preparing materials for school events.
Safeguarding: Maintaining a secure reception area and ensuring all visitors adhere to the school’s entry and exit procedures.

Requirements
Previous experience in a reception or front-of-house role (experience in a school or medical setting is an advantage).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience using a school Management Information System (MIS) such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom is highly desirable.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to multitask under pressure.
An enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to undergo one immediately).
