Midday Meals Supervisor - Haringey
Are you a dependable Midday Meals Supervisor who enjoys working with children and supporting positive lunchtime experiences? A friendly primary in Haringey is recruiting a Midday Meals Supervisor to join their pastoral and site team from January 2026.
The Midday Meals Supervisor will lead safe lunchtime routines, support children with additional needs during mealtimes, encourage positive social skills and liaise with kitchen and pastoral staff. This Midday Meals Supervisor role in Haringey combines practical supervision duties with pastoral support and record-keeping; induction will be provided prior to January 2026 so the Midday Meals Supervisor can be fully prepared for the spring term starting January 2026.
Role responsibilities
- Supervise dining room and playground during lunchtime, promoting safe and inclusive play as Midday Meals Supervisor.
- Assist pupils who require support with eating or social routines and follow individual plans in Haringey.
- Work with kitchen staff to ensure hygiene and safe food handling and assist with clearing and tidy-up duties.
- Encourage positive behaviour, mediate minor conflicts and model social skills during mealtimes.
- Log incidents, report safeguarding concerns and communicate relevant information to senior leaders in Haringey.
Person specification
- Experience supporting children in school, childcare or play settings and confident working as a Midday Meals Supervisor.
- Patient, observant and able to maintain calm during busy lunchtimes across Haringey.
- Good communicator, able to work with kitchen teams, teaching staff and parents; able to begin January 2026.
