DB Actuary (Testing & Development)
Job Details
Overview An established and growing DB pensions business is seeking a technically strong actuarial professional to focus on the development, testing, and optimisation of member calculation tools.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving models/processes, rather than purely performing calculations.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and enhance DB member option calculation toolsPerform testing, validation, and UAT to ensure accuracy of automated calculationsCollaborate with pricing, proposition, and operations teamsTranslate calculation requirements into scalable solutionsSupport continuous improvement of systems and data processesRequirements3+ years' experience in DB pensions (consultancy or life insurance)Strong understanding of DB calculations and actuarial conceptsExperience or interest in model/tool developmentPart/qualified actuary (or strong non-qualified candidate with relevant experience)Strong Excel skills; coding experience advantageousWhy apply?Focus on development and innovation, not just BAUWork closely with pricing and proposition teamsBe part of a growing DB platform with long-term investment
