Marchant Recruitment
Barking, Greater London

We are proud to invite applications for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive school community in Barking. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our school is built on strong values of inclusion, respect, and collaboration. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning. You will work in partnership with class teachers, the SENCo, and external professionals to deliver consistent and effective support. Observations, record keeping, and feedback will inform planning and ensure pupils’ progress and wellbeing are monitored closely.

Strong relationships with pupils and families are highly valued, and you will be supported to communicate openly and positively. The school offers a collaborative culture where staff are valued and encouraged to develop their skills through training and SEN-focused professional development.

You will:

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN

  • Support learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

  • Assist with personalised learning strategies

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

In return, we offer:

  • A welcoming and supportive staff team

  • Strong leadership and inclusive school values

  • Access to SEN training and CPD

  • Well-resourced classrooms and support services

  • Pupils who are eager to learn and succeed

To be considered for this position, please forward an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
