SEN Learning Support Assistant

£95-110 per day Veritas Education is partnering with primary, secondary, and SEN schools across South East London to recruit Learning Support Assistants to make a real difference supporting students with special educational needs and learning difficulties. These are full-time, term-time positions, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We are looking for candidates with experience supporting students in an educational setting, particularly those with SEN or additional needs. A solid understanding of SEN and learning difficulties-gained through professional experience or academic study-is highly desirable. Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
Work proactively to help students meet their academic goals.
Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Support the teacher in general learning and student development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
Reliability and a commitment to supporting students' progress.
Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.
