Milk Education is looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language)

Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment

Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies

Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills

Adapt activities and resources to ensure every child can access the curriculum

Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Support with pastoral care and emotional regulation when needed

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who is:

Patient, understanding and passionate about supporting SEND pupils

Experienced working with children with additional needs (school or care setting)

Knowledgeable about SEN strategies, sensory needs and communication approaches

Calm, resilient and able to use initiative

A strong communicator with a team-focused mindset

Reliable, proactive and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements

Experience supporting pupils with SEN (preferred but not essential)

A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Right to work in the UK

Relevant SEN or safeguarding training is beneficial
