Senior Financial Analyst - Online & FF Channels (Mat Cover)

Harvey Nichols is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be focusing on our Online and Farfetch channels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and support the growth of our online channels. Please note this is a fix term contract opportunity to cover a maternity leave.

About the role

In this role your main focus will be to partner with the Online and Farfetch teams on the following areas:

P&L and Financial Planning

• Ownership of Online and FF P&Ls, with a focus on profitability by territory and channel.

• Lead forecasting and re-forecasting cycles, identifying key risks and opportunities to inform senior leadership.

• Partner with the rest of the Finance team and the relevant business teams to deliver accurate month-end postings and variance analysis

Budgeting and strategic Collaboration

• Coordinate the annual budgeting process for Online and FF channels, working closely with the Online team and with Merchandising, Digital Marketing, and Supply Chain teams

• Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term business decisions such as promotions, discounts and delivery cost analysis.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct pre- and post-promotion analysis to evaluate financial viability and extract actionable insights.

• Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on sales, margin, and digital KPIs, benchmarking against budget and prior year.

• Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Online Trade teams to assess channel-level revenue and spend, with a focus on ROI.

• Support financial modelling and strategic analysis for major investment initiatives.

• Prepare and review smaller commercial business cases, including post-investment appraisals and recommendations.

• Present financial commentary and insights to senior stakeholders, highlighting drivers of performance and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Ad-Hoc Analysis

• Create presentations for senior management and contribute to board-level reporting.

• Deliver ad-hoc analytical support for evolving business needs and strategic projects.
