About the Role
Are you a master of coordination, communication, and customer service? Hanson Quarry Products is looking for a proactive and organised Shipper to manage customer orders, delivery schedules, and haulier activity across a cluster of concrete plants. This is a fast-paced role where your decisions directly impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You'll be the central link between commercial teams, plant operations, and hauliers ensuring that every delivery is on time, every order is optimised, and every customer is kept informed.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Management: Own the order book for your plant cluster, ensuring smooth scheduling and proactive customer engagement.

• Delivery Coordination: Manage haulier activity, optimise truck movements, and reduce empty mileage.

• Customer Service: Build strong relationships with key customers, anticipate needs, and offer solutions-even when challenges arise.

• Operational Support: Respond to plant breakdowns and delays with agility, keeping stakeholders informed and work flowing.

• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs (Volume, On-Time Delivery, Utilisation), report issues, and drive continuous improvement.

• Communication: Liaise daily with commercial and operational teams to resolve issues and plan ahead.

• Compliance & Admin: Ensure hauliers follow correct procedures, maintain accurate records, and handle queries efficiently.
