About the Role:
In the National Employer Solutions Service Line, you will work alongside a team of Global Mobility experts and UK Employment Tax specialists. The department is expanding rapidly, serving clients from various industries, including start-ups, mid-market organisations, public sector bodies, and large corporations. Success is rooted in collaboration between a national network of specialists and market-based teams. The team works closely with colleagues across the firm, combining their expertise in accounting, audit, and relevant taxes to provide comprehensive solutions.
The firm is currently looking for a motivated individual who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and possesses the flexibility to lead and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and effective responses.
* Manage a portfolio of tax compliance and advisory clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
* Provide expert advice and oversee the execution of advisory projects, collaborating with the appropriate tax advisory teams, including international working tax advisory work.
* Identify and advise on tax planning opportunities, coordinating with other technical specialists to implement these opportunities as required.
* Brief junior staff on clients' businesses and project instructions, supervise and ensure the completion of work, and provide on-the-job training and appraisals when necessary.
* Manage project services in accordance with established procedures, including cost estimation, billing arrangements, and targeted recovery. Ensure prompt invoicing of clients.
* Research and develop proposals for new work, actively participating in formal presentations to potential clients.
* Contribute to regional business development activities as appropriate.
* Foster effective collaboration with all departments, identifying and addressing client needs comprehensively.
* Develop a deep understanding of the firm's specialist services and undertake special projects to meet client requirements.
* Maintain advanced technical knowledge through ongoing learning and fulfill professional bodies' CPD requirements.
* Serve as a line manager for staff, actively supporting their professional development.
* Attend staff meetings and training sessions as necessary.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess specialist experience in employment tax, expatriate tax, and/or international social security in the UK. You should have a solid background in managing clients from various organizations, both large and small, and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
* Hold an appropriate professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, or ACCA.
* Previous experience at the Associate Director/Senior Manager level or equivalent.
* Demonstrated ability to identify and execute advisory projects for clients.
* Strong client management and project management skills.
* Ability to produce high-quality, technically accurate work within budget.
