The Opportunity
A high-achieving Enfield school is looking for a Design & Technology Teacher to join its modern engineering facility. This school prides itself on its STEM provision and offers students access to industry-standard CAD/CAM software and machinery. As an ECT, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that bridges the gap between design and physical engineering.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver the D&T curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring a focus on Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Engineering.
Guide students through the iterative design process, from initial sketching to high-spec prototyping.
Maintain an impeccable standard of workshop safety and organisation.
ECT Induction & Support
Specialised Health & Safety training for workshop environments provided at the start of the programme.
Regular subject-specific coaching from an experienced D&T Lead.
Full technician support to assist with the preparation of materials and machinery maintenance.
Requirements & Compensation
Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant degree (Design, Engineering, or Technology).
Salary: National Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS).
