You’ll connect business challenges to innovative reward solutions and play a vital role in delivering our people strategy.
What you’ll do
- Be a trusted partner to HR and operational leaders on all reward matters.
- Lead major projects from design to delivery – including salary range reviews and sales compensation effectiveness.
- Develop and implement incentive schemes, including the design work, costing, metric selection and communication.
- Manage annual pay review processes and recommend pay budgets for unionised and non-unionised groups.
- Work closely with the Performance Manager to ensure a strong link between reward and performance, including bonus design and allocation.
- Oversee job grading and evaluation processes, ensuring consistency and simplicity.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our reward offering and keep up to date with market trends.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reward offerings including new products, improved insight and high-quality communication plans.
- Stay informed on external market developments, including emerging trends in pay practices and remuneration structures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, supporting their development and progression.
You’ll bring
Although this is a broad role, a key focus will be on supporting the design of incentives - in particular sales plans - so our ideal candidate will have experience in partnering with senior leaders to support this activity.
- Commercial and financial acumen, with experience working in large, complex organisations.
- Senior-level understanding of reward practices, including fixed and variable compensation.
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in unionised environments (highly desirable).
- Professional standard of analysis and presentation skills.
- Effective and engaging business partnering across both HR and non-HR functions.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements.
- Experience designing incentive schemes and managing pay review processes.
