Reception Teacher — Independent School — Dulwich
An established Independent School in Dulwich is seeking a thoughtful and imaginative Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. The Reception Teacher will attend planning before January 2026, join induction in January 2026, and start teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. Working in an Independent School with small group sizes, the Reception Teacher will be able to focus on high-quality adult interactions and carefully planned continuous provision.
Reception Teacher — role & responsibilities (Independent School context)
The Reception Teacher will: lead daily phonics and language sessions as the Reception Teacher; design play-based continuous provision and focused adult-led sessions as the Reception Teacher; assess children against the Early Learning Goals and plan next steps as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare materials prior to January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Part-Time Reception Teacher while still joining phase CPD days in January 2026 and beyond.

Person specification — Reception Teacher
We are looking for a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent, excellent early years knowledge and an ability to engage families. The Reception Teacher must be available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity as the Reception Teacher at this Independent School.
