SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenford
We are seeking a patient, empathetic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Greenford, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and works closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals to provide personalised support for pupils with SEND. Staff collaborate to create a structured, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where children feel confident, motivated, and valued. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted one-to-one and small group support. You will help pupils access lessons, develop independence, and achieve their personal learning goals while promoting confidence, positive behaviour, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
Help pupils engage fully with lessons and classroom activities
Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress accurately
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals when required
Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities
Attend staff meetings, training, and CPD sessions
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
