Job title: Event Operations Assistant Type of employment: Full-Time/Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid Role Overview The Event Operations Assistant is an entry level role that will support Agriconnect’s portfolio of flagship events, including exhibitions, awards, and conferences. Working closely with the events team, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of event planning to ensure smooth, seamless, and safe execution. This role requires forward-thinking, excellent organisational skills, and a willingness to learn every aspect of event operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, providing high levels of customer service and supporting both our customers and internal event teams across multiple large scale exhibitions. Some evening and weekend work will be required. What you’ll be doing: Assist in planning and executing all operational and logistical elements for exhibitions, in collaboration with the Event Operations Manager, Operations Director, Portfolio Director, Sales, and Marketing Teams. Ensure the smooth running and management of the onsite organiser’s office onsite at the show when required. Update show floorplans and Salesforce in the absence of the Event Operations Manager. Assist in producing Exhibitor Manuals and Information Sheets to help clients plan their participation in the event. Support the Event Operations Manager in contributing towards the event operations budgets and P&L. Provide high-quality, customer-focused service to all stakeholders, both internally and externally. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrate strong active‑listening skills to identify customer requirements and deliver high‑quality service Analyze event operations post-show and collaborate with the Event Operations Manager to implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies at future events. Works collaboratively across departments, taking initiative to communicate updates and assist others. Proactively share data with internal and external stakeholders where required. Provide regular reports on event analytics, including gross and net floor space. Work with the event management team to ensure correct pricing structures are in place. Understand and implement Health & Safety systems planning pre show and onsite. What we’re looking for: Exceptional attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility.
