Graduate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Wimbledon

KPI Education is working with a dedicated SEN school in Wimbledon to recruit a Graduate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for graduates who are passionate about supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs.
In this role, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support with communication, including those with speech and language delays, autism and associated learning needs. You will provide consistent one-to-one and small group support, helping students develop their communication skills, confidence and ability to access learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored speech and language interventions
- Working alongside teachers, SENCO and speech and language therapists
- Supporting EHCP targets and personalised communication strategies
You will assist in delivering tailored speech and language interventions, working alongside teachers, the SENCO and speech and language therapists to ensure each pupil receives the support they need. You will also play a key role in implementing personalised strategies and EHCP targets, while contributing to a structured, supportive and engaging learning environment.

We are looking for graduates who:
- Have achieved or are predicted a 2:1 or above in a relevant subject such as Psychology, Linguistics or Speech and Language
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Are confident, patient and empathetic with strong communication skills
- Ideally have some experience working with children or SEN (not essential)
