Senior Sales Associate
Role Overview:
As a Senior Sales Associate at Needle & Thread, you will play a key role in driving sales performance while delivering an exceptional in store experience that is expected within a Flagship Boutique. Acting as a brand ambassador and key holder, you will support store leadership in daily operations, lead by example on the shop floor, and help mentor junior team members. Your strong product knowledge, customer focus, and leadership skills will contribute to both team success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
Deliver a consistently elevated and personalised customer experience, ensuring every client interaction reflects the brand’s standards.
Build and nurture long-term client relationships through expert styling advice, clienteling, and follow-up communication.
Resolve customer queries and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive outcome.
Sales Performance
Meet and exceed individual sales targets while supporting the wider team in achieving store goals.
Drive sales through product knowledge, styling expertise, and storytelling around Needle & Thread collections.
Monitor sales performance on shift and take initiative to maximise opportunities.
Brand Representation
Act as a senior brand ambassador, embodying the aesthetic and values of Needle & Thread at all times.
Maintain advanced knowledge of collections, fabrics, fits, and seasonal trends to guide both customers and team members.
Store Operations & Key Holder Duties
Take responsibility for opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and securely.
Support daily operations, including cash handling, till management, and end-of-day reporting.
Oversee the sales floor to ensure it is clean, organised, and visually aligned with brand standards.
Occasionally assist with deliveries, stock replenishment, and stockroom organisation.
Occasionally support inventory management, stock control, and loss prevention processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead by example on the shop floor, setting standards for service and sales performance.
Support onboarding and training of junior team members, sharing product knowledge and best practices.
Provide guidance and feedback to the team to drive performance and engagement.
Collaborate closely with management to drive store success.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a retail or luxury sales environment, ideally in a senior sales role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership capability with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
Motivating and positive approach to the shopfloor operations.
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible availability, including weekends and across all shift patterns.
