We are supporting a well-funded, high-growth B2B platform building the core systems their customers rely on every day. They are rethinking and rebuilding complex backend infrastructure from the ground up, with real scale and real stakes.

The founding team are repeat operators with decades of experience building, scaling and exiting high-growth technology companies. They’ve led products from zero to category leaders before and are now doing it again.

It’s still early enough that every engineer shapes the architecture and technical standards, but far enough along that what you ship is already live and depended on.

If you want to design foundations, not just ship features, this is a rare opportunity to have genuine influence while a product scales.

What you will be doing:

You will work across the backend and own problems end-to-end.

That includes:

Designing services and APIs that power complex, configurable workflows

Building systems that process large volumes of events reliably

Scaling storage and infrastructure as usage grows

Turning messy real-world requirements into clean, maintainable logic

Working directly with product and customers to ship practical solutions

Making architectural decisions that balance performance, simplicity and long-term stability

This is hands-on engineering. Less ceremony. More building.

Skills needed:

Strong backend engineering fundamentals

Experience shipping production systems that need to be reliable at scale

Comfortable with distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Solid database design and query performance knowledge

Able to work autonomously and take ownership from idea through production

Comfortable operating in small, fast-moving teams

Tech stack matters less than fundamentals, but experience with modern JVM or TypeScript ecosystems is helpful.

Most importantly, you care about quality and take pride in what you ship.
