About the Role
This Nursery Teaching Assistant role will see you working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children aged 3-4.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting children in the Nursery setting during play-based learning activities
Assisting with phonics, early language development and social skills
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
Supporting children both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
Helping to create engaging and stimulating learning environments
Assisting with observations and early years development tracking
Supporting outdoor learning and creative activities
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to gain experience within a highly respected Westminster primary school.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience working with children in Nursery or Early Years settings
A caring and patient approach with young learners
A strong understanding of EYFS principles (desirable)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting children's development
A genuine passion for working in education
This role would particularly suit graduates considering a future in teaching, Early Years education, educational psychology or child development.
