Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the Approving Authority, the primary purpose of the role is to directly support current operations and future programmes. Supporting nuclear facilities & the delivery of services across both Client Sites near Helensburgh. Your Missions

• Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
• Handle design changes/concessions.
• Present Design substantiations to safety committees.
• Develop EIMT Schedule, procedures, and results.
• Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct Independent Technical Review.
• Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high-risk environments.
• Justify civil/structural design modifications.
• Review reports and safety submissions.
• Check and review calculations and technical documents.
  Experience in the design assessment of electrical installations in a HV or LV environment
• Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects.
• Experience in assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
• Authoring technical justifications for electrical design modifications in high hazard industries.
• Experience in multi-discipline projects providing electrical engineering input.
• Experienced in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with safety case development techniques like HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Worked in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defense), especially in safety-related structures, systems, and components., Security Clearance: SC, UK National.
• BEng in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience.
