SEN Teacher | Wandsworth
A dynamic primary in Wandsworth is recruiting an accomplished SEN Teacher to start January 2026. The SEN Teacher will work with pupils across KS1 and KS2, delivering tailored interventions, advising on reasonable adjustments and supporting staff to meet diverse needs. This Wandsworth position is ideal for a SEN Teacher who enjoys combining classroom teaching with system-level improvement.

The SEN Teacher will contribute to the school’s SEND strategy, produce clear individual plans, and liaise with health, therapy and local authority professionals when required. The role includes time for planning, assessment and collaboration; handover and induction will be provided ahead of January 2026 so the SEN Teacher can begin with a clear caseload and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Assess pupils’ needs and design sequenced interventions that target identified barriers to learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to embed adaptive teaching and scaffolded learning strategies.
- Track outcomes rigorously and report on progress to leaders and parents.
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and ensure statutory compliance is maintained.
- Provide professional guidance to support staff and contribute to SEND CPD.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with specialist experience of supporting pupils with a range of SEND.
- Confident in assessment, planning and measuring the impact of interventions.
- Excellent communicator, organised and able to work effectively within the Wandsworth locality.
- Committed to evidence-informed practice and able to start January 2026.
