Help create a positive employee experience.
At Avenues, people smile, laugh, grow and achieve extraordinary things.
We're a charity supporting autistic people, individuals with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex needs to live the lives they choose.
Behind every great service is a great team, and our People Experience team plays a vital role in supporting our colleagues across the organisation.
We're now looking for two organised and detail-focused Employee Relations Administrators to join our team.
If you enjoy keeping things organised, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
As our Employee Relations Administrator, you'll provide essential administrative support across a wide range of employee relations activity. You'll help ensure our processes run smoothly by preparing documentation, maintaining confidential records, coordinating case files and supporting formal meetings.
Working closely with our People Experience Officers and Leads, you'll become a trusted member of the team, helping to deliver a professional, efficient and compassionate service to managers and colleagues across the organisation.
No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to build a career within HR and employee relations.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing confidential employee relations case files and ensuring records are accurate, up to date and GDPR compliant.
- Preparing meeting packs, formal correspondence and documentation for investigations, hearings, appeals and other employee relations meetings.
- Providing administrative support during formal meetings, including taking accurate notes and preparing minutes.
- Monitoring the Employee Relations inbox, responding to routine administrative queries and directing more complex enquiries to the appropriate colleague.
- Updating HR systems including People XD and ASK HR (Neocase).
- Producing reports and collating information to support projects and management reporting.
- Supporting the wider People Experience team with a variety of administrative tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, professional and enjoys working with accuracy and attention to detail.
You'll have:
- Previous experience in an administrative or business support role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Outstanding written communication skills and confidence preparing professional documents.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
- The confidence to communicate professionally with colleagues at all levels.
It would be great if you also have experience supporting HR or employee relations activities, preparing formal meeting documentation or taking minutes, although this isn't essential.
Knowledge of the social care sector would also be an advantage.
Why join Avenues?
At Avenues, you'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team where your work genuinely makes a difference. We invest in our people, encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities to develop your career within HR and People Experience.
In return, we offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Flexible and hybrid working opportunities (where the role allows)
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Pension scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Learning and development opportunities
- A supportive and inclusive working environment
- The opportunity to work for a charity that changes lives every day
Ready to make an impact?
If you're looking for an opportunity to develop your career within HR and Employee Relations while supporting an organisation that values people, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help us create a workplace where our colleagues can thrive, so they can continue delivering extraordinary support to the people we work alongside.
