Qualified Occupational Therapist to work within the Benefits and Housing Needs Service Works across teams providing medical assessments/outcomes for residents in settled and temporary accommodation.
Occupational therapy assessments of housing needs.
Accompanied viewings.
Inspection and assessments of void properties for suitability.
View void adapted properties to ensure recycling of stock.
Ensure that layout of properties meets the needs of residents according to their level of disability, mobility or impairment.
Provide a bridge between Adult Social Care/Children’s Disabled Services and Housing.
Match applicants to properties & shortlisting for adapted properties.
Accompany viewings and make recommendations.
Joint working with planning/architects to discuss community needs, desired areas and design for wheelchair accessible/adaptable new builds.
