The Role
As School Receptionist , you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the front office, providing an efficient and welcoming service. Key responsibilities will include:
Greeting visitors and ensuring sign-in procedures are followed in line with safeguarding requirements
Handling incoming calls, emails and enquiries professionally and promptly
Supporting communication with parents and external agencies
Managing deliveries, post and general front office administration
Maintaining accurate records and supporting attendance or student services where needed
Providing calm, professional support to students who come to reception throughout the day
This role requires strong organisation, a professional manner and the ability to manage competing priorities while remaining calm and approachable.
The Team
You will join a supportive and collaborative admin team that works closely together to ensure the school is welcoming, safe and well organised. The office team is central to the daily life of the academy, supporting staff and students with everything from communication and admin processes to practical problem-solving.

Have previous experience in reception, administration or a customer-facing role
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a warm, professional manner
Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Be confident using IT systems (e.g., email, spreadsheets and database-style systems)
Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding in a school setting
Work effectively as part of a team while also showing initiative
Experience in a school setting is welcomed but not essential—training can be provided for the right candidate.
