Learning Support Assistant in Walthamstow
Learning Support Assistant role to start after Easter at a vibrant and diverse primary school in Walthamstow.
Join a team of likeminded, friendly and dedicated support staff and make a real difference to children's lives as a Learning Support Assistant.
Working long term and full time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm) as an LSA, your days will be spent:
- Delivering interventions and monitoring the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting non-verbal children with appropriate Speech and Language activities
- Creating a positive learning environment where every child is made to feel safe and supported, and is able to thrive
- Providing support for key children to help them reach the targets on their EHCPs and/or IEPs
- Working closely with class teachers to plan sessions based on progress
- Supporting children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the full curriculum
As this is an ongoing Learning Support Assistant position expected to last until the end of the academic year, you will be able to see first-hand how each of your key children progress and the development they make across the school year as a result of your support! There is also the possibility for the role to become permanent in the future.
