What We're Looking For
The ideal Associate / Technical Director - Transport Planning will bring:
- Extensive experience in transport planning within a consultancy environment
- Proven track record of successful business development and winning new work
- Demonstrable client followership with established relationships
- Significant experience leading complex transport planning projects
- Chartered status (MCIHT, MRTPI, MICE or equivalent)
- Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning or related discipline
- Specialist capability in areas such as development planning, active travel, business case development, or public transport planning
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills

As Associate / Technical Director - Transport Planning, you'll develop strategic business plans, lead complex projects, and provide specialist technical expertise. This role offers the platform to grow the business whilst bringing your client base with you.
Key Responsibilities
In this Associate / Technical Director - Transport Planning role, you will:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow the transport planning market
- Build and maintain a strong client base and lead on tenders and proposals
- Provide specialist technical expertise and lead complex transport planning projects
- Build, develop and mentor transport planning teams across offices
- Collaborate with Partners to shape business direction and identify growth opportunities
- Ensure all work meets the highest technical standards and client expectations
