As a Social Impact Professional, you will support the delivery of social impact activity connected to Project Gigabit. Working closely with the hiring manager and wider team, you will help coordinate event activations and support the day-to-day running of the Work Ready programme, with a strong focus on organisation, logistics, and delivery.
You will be part of a team delivering social impact work within Project Gigabit, working alongside colleagues in London and Birmingham. The role will collaborate closely with team members across programme delivery, communications, and stakeholder engagement to help deliver activity in targeted locations, including programmes taking place in Scotland.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate event activations linked to Project Gigabit, supporting planning and on-the-ground delivery.
- Manage key logistical activity for the Work Ready programme, including venue sourcing and coordination.
- Support volunteer management activities and help ensure smooth participation across programme delivery.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including delivery partners, to keep activity organised and on track.
- Assist with engagement activity involving local communities, including coordination with councils, community centres, and related groups where needed.
Skills and Experiences
- Experience in a project coordination, events, or similarly logistics-focused role.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Comfortable supporting both internal-facing and external-facing activity.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience using communication channels such as LinkedIn or supporting communications activity in a wider team environment.
