About the role — what the Year 5 Teacher will do
From January 2026 , the Year 5 Teacher will lead a vibrant Year 5 class, designing rigorous, enquiry-led sequences that deepen subject knowledge and reasoning skills. The Year 5 Teacher will be expected to plan ambitious lessons in mathematics, literacy and foundation subjects, using assessment to shape learning journeys and ensure every child progresses. The Year 5 Teacher will take a central role in transition preparation for Year 6 and will contribute to enrichment activities across the school.

The Year 5 Teacher should be ready to take part in parent consultations and school events from January 2026 , and will be supported by dedicated TAs.
