The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking a creative and high-energy Music Teacher for an immediate start at a vibrant secondary school in West London . This is an urgent requirement for a specialist who can inspire a love of performance, composition, and musicology across a diverse student body.
The Role
This is a "hands-on" role where you will be responsible for leading the musical life of the school. You will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) , with the potential to lead A-Level or BTEC Tech Award in Music Practice for the right candidate. From orchestral classics to modern music production, you will have the freedom to bring your musical passions into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance & Composition: Deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in instrumental performance, vocal work, and digital composition using software like Logic Pro or Sibelius.
GCSE Support: Provide urgent intervention and support for Year 11 students as they finalize their performance portfolios and composition coursework.
Extracurricular Leadership: Reinvigorate the school’s musical ensembles, including choirs, bands, or digital music clubs, preparing students for termly concerts.
Technical Integration: Utilize the school's music technology suite to teach modern production techniques and film scoring.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Music or Music Production .
Proficiency in at least one instrument (Piano/Guitar preferred) and a strong vocal or conducting background.
Experience teaching the GCSE Music syllabus (experience with BTEC/A-Level is a plus).
The ability to inspire students of all abilities, from beginners to Grade 8 virtuosos.
