KPI Education is working with a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Camden that is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 .
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop practical experience in a secondary school while working alongside experienced teachers and supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 .
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers during lessons and classroom activities.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students.
- Supporting pupils across core subjects, including English, Maths and Science .
- Helping students understand challenging topics and develop confidence.
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
- Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment.
- Helping students develop effective revision and independent study skills.
- Monitoring student engagement and contributing to progress tracking.
- Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional learning needs.
- Building positive relationships with students and encouraging academic progress.
Candidate Profile
The school is looking for a graduate who is:
- Educated to degree level , with a 2:1 or above preferred .
- Strong academically, particularly in English, Maths or Science .
- Passionate about education and working with young people.
- Confident, approachable and able to communicate effectively.
- Patient, resilient and proactive.
- Able to build positive relationships with students.
- Interested in progressing into teaching or a wider career in education .
- Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work or schools is desirable but not essential.
