Software Developer – High Performance Trading Systems

£400k+ total comp
We are looking for a talented software engineer to join a high-performing team responsible for architecting and delivering the systems that underpin a leading and disruptive global trading operation.
You’ll work on the full lifecycle of high-throughput, low-latency platforms – including algorithmic trading engines, venue connectivity, and real-time pricing infrastructure. Expect deep technical ownership, constant performance tuning, and direct impact on production trading.
What you’ll work on:
Design and optimise mission-critical systems where microseconds and gigabits matter
Build core infrastructure for trading strategies: market data, risk, and execution pipelines
Translate model logic into real-time code with strict safety, throughput, and latency constraints
Collaborate with quants, infrastructure, and operations to solve complex engineering problems
We’re looking for:
Exceptional programming ability in Kotlin, Java, or C++
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and networked systems
Prior experience working in high-performance or real-time environments
Confidence working close to hardware and tuning Linux-based systems
Interest in trading systems, low-latency architecture, or distributed data flows
