Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a large secondary academy in Hackney to recruit a Librarian for a temporary assignment .

About the role

The Librarian will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming, well-organised, and purposeful learning environment. The role involves supporting students with independent study and reading, promoting literacy across the school, and assisting staff with access to resources.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Librarian you will:

  • Have experience working in a library or school setting (desirable)
  • Be well organised and confident working with young people
  • Have good communication and IT skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable Librarian experience
