Delegate Sales Executive

Job Description
The Delegate Sales Executive will work directly with the Head of Delegate Sales and play a key role in driving revenue for our major international conferences and exhibitions in Las Vegas and Paris. They will employ their sales expertise to attract high-quality delegates from the world’s leading employers and most forward-thinking organisations whilst ensuring our events are well-attended and diverse with a key attrition to group sales and delivery.
This role requires a resilient, solution oriented and results driven individual with a proven track record in B2B event sales. The ability to commercially map, sell and grow both our new and existing business sectors will be a key success factor for this role. The Delegate Sales Executive will be expected to deliver to revenue targets on a monthly basis, adapt your approach to suit the markets we are focussing on and adhere to daily KPIs.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires collaboration with other departments and a critical aspect of this role will be engagement with Senior HR Leaders/CHROs to gain the buy-in for their teams attendance by utilising all channels available including but not limited to social selling, tailored engagement and active appointment setting at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities
Delegate Sales: Use telesales, video and telemarketing techniques to sell delegate spaces at our international conferences and exhibitions.
Marketing and Promotion: Assist in the design and implementation of targeted marketing campaigns to drive delegate sales and community.
Market Research: You are only as good as your leads in this role! Market research is a way of life in this sales role to identify potential leads and understand industry trends to ensure a comprehensive delegate mix.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to pitching and then closing successfully.
Sales Targets: Meet and exceed set sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the conference and exhibition.
KPI Delivery: achieving a minimum of 100 dials and 8 qualified conversations daily
Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activity, delegate feedback, and market trends to senior management.
Networking: Attend industry events and conferences to generate leads and build a strong professional network.
Database Management: Update and maintain the delegate and customer database ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Team Collaboration: Work very closely with the event production, marketing, and operations teams to deliver a seamless delegate experience.
Negotiation: Negotiate with potential delegates to secure their participation at our events, ensuring they are aware of the benefits and opportunities our conference and exhibition with a key focus on large team attendance.
Qualifications
Experience:
3 years+ sales experience in a telesales or conference sales role.
Proven success in paid delegate sales revenue, preferably within the HR and/or Tech events
Experience of selling to larger teams and closing high-ticket deals is preferable.
Knowledge of the conference and exhibition industry is desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with cutting-edge CRM platforms and database management.
Tenacious, articulate and confident in engaging at a C-suite/Director/Head of level.
The ability to commercially map out an industry and engage with Fortune 500 companies successfully.
