School Administrator - Islington
An established school in Islington is seeking a reliable School Administrator to join the office team, starting January 2026. The successful School Administrator will provide first-line administrative support, manage reception duties, maintain pupil records and assist with school communications. This School Administrator role in Islington offers a friendly working environment and excellent opportunities to develop administrative and data-management skills.

The School Administrator will be responsible for daily office routines: answering phone calls, responding to parent emails, preparing official correspondence, managing attendance records and supporting the Senior Leadership Team with clerking duties where required. As School Administrator, you will keep accurate SIMS (or equivalent) records, coordinate visitor sign-in, and support admissions paperwork. We are looking for an organised School Administrator who can work proactively and support school life across the year. The post commences January 2026, and the School Administrator will be expected to support the school through the spring term planning from January 2026. Candidates based in Islington or able to commute to Islington are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities (School Administrator):
• Act as first point of contact for parents and visitors as the School Administrator.
• Maintain pupil records, update management information systems and produce reports as the School Administrator.
• Support attendance monitoring, admissions and pupil transitions as the School Administrator.
• Assist with school communications, newsletters and events organisation as the School Administrator.
Person specification (School Administrator):
• Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally as a School Administrator.
• Strong IT skills, familiarity with SIMS or similar MIS and confident literacy/numeracy.
• Excellent communication, organisation and confidentiality — core to a successful School Administrator.
• Ability to start January 2026 and be based in Islington.
