As the Year 1 Teacher , you’ll join a team with strong TA support and a leadership team committed to staff development. The Year 1 Teacher will be involved in planning thematic units, delivering high-impact phonics sessions, and supporting parental engagement from January 2026 .
Year 1 Teacher – key accountabilities
• Deliver high-quality, differentiated Year 1 lessons as the Year 1 Teacher .
• Lead phonics and early reading interventions as the Year 1 Teacher .
• Track and report progress, using assessment to shape next steps as the Year 1 Teacher .
• Engage with parents and colleagues to ensure continuity for learners as the Year 1 Teacher .
Person specification — Year 1 Teacher
• QTS and recent KS1 experience — confident Year 1 Teacher practice.
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing classroom presence as a Year 1 Teacher.
• A proactive Year 1 Teacher, keen to develop professionally and contribute to whole-school life.
Start & contract
This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role begins January 2026 . Induction and planning time will be provided in the lead-up to January 2026 so the Year 1 Teacher can start the term fully prepared. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher post offers a secure, permanent contract and access to CPD.
