Year 6 Teacher | Primary School in West London

Marchant Recruitment
Hounslow, Greater London

Are you a passionate and dedicated KS2 teacher ready to inspire the next generation of learners? Our vibrant and ambitious school in Hounslow is seeking a motivated Year 6 teacher to join our team from January 2026. This permanent, full-time role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils’ academic achievement and personal development.

Our school is a welcoming, inclusive, and forward-thinking community where pupils are motivated, curious, and supported to achieve their best. We value creativity, collaboration, and high expectations, and we encourage teachers to develop professionally while making a real difference in pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

Why join us:

  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative year group and teaching team
  • Teach motivated, eager-to-learn pupils in a stimulating and well-resourced environment
  • Work in a school committed to professional development and staff wellbeing
  • Contribute to a vibrant school culture that celebrates achievement, resilience, and inclusion

What we are looking for:

  • QTS with recent KS2 teaching experience, ideally including Year 6
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils
  • High expectations for behaviour, attainment, and personal development
  • Strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborative, reflective, and organised approach to teaching and learning
  • Passion for promoting learning beyond the classroom through enrichment activities and projects

Key responsibilities:

  • Teach a Year 6 class full-time, preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while fostering independence and a love of learning
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND
  • Track pupil progress effectively and use assessment to inform planning and next steps in learning
  • Support and contribute to whole-school initiatives and year group planning
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and resilience
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships supporting pupils’ learning and development

What we offer:

  • A supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking leadership team
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression
  • Motivated pupils in a positive, inspiring learning environment
  • A permanent position with the chance to make a real difference in pupils’ lives

How to apply:
Please upload your most up-to-date CV. Interviews will be arranged as soon as possible, and the successful candidate may be offered the role immediately.
