Purpose of the Role
As an Operations Support Officer (Learner Events) , you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Corndel’s learner-facing events. Your primary focus will be on Corndel’s flagship Masterclass programme, delivered in partnership with Imperial College London. You will also provide flexible support across other learning events and operational processes as needed.
This is a varied role that blends technical event production with operational support, requiring advanced knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be key to delivering outstanding learner experiences, maintaining accurate operational records, and driving continuous improvement across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Event Production & Learner Experience
- Manage the end-to-end technical production of online learning events, ensuring seamless delivery using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Confidently operate interactive tools such as polls, Q&A, chat, breakout rooms, whiteboards, recordings, Miro, and Menti integrations.
- Own the learner communication process for events, including registrations, reminders, follow-ups, and post-event surveys.
- Provide technical event cover for other departments during periods of absence .
Operational Support & Data Management
- Keep event schedules updated across systems and ensure materials are shared in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate registration, attendance, and feedback records, updating Power BI reports and preparing summaries for stakeholders.
- Respond to incoming queries across shared inboxes, escalating where required.
- Support operational audits, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and compliant.
- Maintain and update SharePoint and intranet content for the Operations team.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Liaise with external stakeholders to confirm event details, resources, and materials.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve team efficiency.
- Share expertise on Zoom and Teams functionality to support colleagues and event speakers.
- Contribute to broader Operations initiatives and projects, ensuring consistency and quality across delivery.

You’ll be brilliant in this role if you:
- Have advanced technical knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, both live event management and back-end functions (reports, registrations, settings, automated comms).
- Are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Have excellent communication skills and can adapt your style to learners, colleagues, and external partners.
- Pay close attention to detail and are confident auditing data and processes for accuracy.
- Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach and enjoy taking ownership of tasks.
- Are interested in streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency.
