An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager in Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance to join a rapidly growing, dynamic team within a leading top ten professional services firm. This position offers the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including UK-listed companies, private equity-backed businesses, inbound groups, and family-owned enterprises. About the Team
The Tax practice is a cornerstone of the business, constantly evolving to meet the demands of an increasingly complex and high-profile field. The Corporate Tax department is central to this success, working with a variety of clients ranging from small family businesses to large multinationals. Joining this team provides the opportunity to work across various advisory projects, strengthen client relationships, and manage compliance processes, all while developing a deep technical skill set.
Role and Responsibilities
* As a Senior Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality international and complex UK tax advisory services. Key responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert advice on tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post-transaction reorganizations, and compliance work.
* Managing tax authority enquiries and offering technical support to the wider corporate tax team.
* Collaborating with specialists in other departments and overseas offices on advisory projects.
* Leading and coaching junior staff, developing their technical skills and providing ongoing support.
* Overseeing team operations, including resourcing and performance management.
* Building and nurturing strong client relationships to identify and create new business development opportunities.
* Driving business growth through tendering, presenting at client pitches, and offering innovative solutions to client challenges.
* Actively supporting Directors and Partners in business development initiatives, seeking out and pursuing new opportunities.
Key Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
* ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with extensive corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
* Proven experience in managing, coaching, and leading teams, along with strong stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical ability with a commercial mindset, capable of providing strategic advice and resolving complex issues.
* Proactive attitude in identifying and pursuing long-term business opportunities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
* A high level of enthusiasm, drive, and a positive, solution-focused attitude.
* Commitment to continuous technical development and attention to detail.
