Head of Finance - Creative Agency (Part Time 3 Days)

International creative marketing consultancy, dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients are looking for a qualified (ACA, ACCA,CIMA) Head of Finance to add commercial input and help drive strategy.

We are looking for a proactive, commercial Head of Finance to manage and oversee the financial operations of the business. You will lead a small finance team and work closely with the management team to ensure the financial health and stability of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and manage the company's budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
• Analyse financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights to the management team.

Project Costing & Work in Progress:

• Working closely with the delivery team, accurately cost projects, ensuring all financial aspects are considered, and margins are optimized.
• Monitor and manage work in progress, ensuring that all projects are accounted for and invoiced promptly.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls over project costing and WIP.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team, providing clear explanations of financial performance and variances.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Skills & Attributes:

• Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Xero financial software, Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and hands-on involvement.
