Quant Capital is urgently looking for Full Stack Python Developer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a small quantitative data business that works within the finance space. They work with many FTSE 100 businesses in developing quantitative data products for large scale comparison. Most of the team are Oxbridge or Imperial Comp Sci PhD’s or bachelors.They focus on building awesome software-services has made us an innovator in Personal Information Management. Helping people and companies make the best purchasing decisions based on their data. They are funded by several major banks.

The ideal python developer will be keen to write robust Front and back end code for web applications in a fast changing environment with rapid release cycles. You’ll be working within a team of highly skilled python developers and quants that love to build amazing things. I am looking for someone who is passionate about computer science and the latest front end technologies.

We have 3 roles and would be interested to see varying levels from enthusiastics graduate/juniors all the way to senior developers

Stack:

• Angular
• Flask
• Python / Twisted
• C++
• maintained primarily using fabric scripts
• using AWS cloud

Full Stack Developers MUST have: (the below also gives you an idea of stack)

• Python
• Computer Science Degree

Experience in as many of:

• Previous experience in building and maintaining scalable, robust and high-availability services
• Deep and comprehensive knowledge of Python (some libraries we use include fabric, Selenium, twisted, regular expressions, pymongo)
• Linux and Unix – sysadmin focus including network & security
• AWS (we use boto)
• MongoDB administration, memcached and MySQL
• DVCS (we use git)
• Continuous Integration (we use Jenkins)
• Test Driven Development (we use unittest, nosetest)

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.

My client is based in Oxford but are happy for people to only work a day a week from the office (travel to and from paid for) so ideally London or surrounding area.
